Lists - The Under Used Post Format

Quite some time ago in searching for ways to improve my blogs I came across an article stressing the importance of using lists in blog posts.  Most bloggers use lists in their side bar or in memes.  These take the form of link lists.  However, many bloggers do not use non-link lists as part of their blog post.  A non-link list is just that.  It is a way of breaking the post into sections or points for easier reading so readers like this format.  Equally important is search engines like this format.  In many ways a listed post is easier to write as well.  Here are a few examples of lists:

Bulleted:
  • point one
  • point two
  • point three
Numbered:
  1. point one
  2. point two
  3. point three
 Nested Bulleted:
  • point one
    • point one expanded
    • point one expanded
  • point two
    • point two expanded
  • point three
    • point three expanded
Nested Numbered:
  1. point one
    1. point one expanded
    2. point one expanded
  2. point two
    1. point two expanded
  3. point three
    1. point three expanded
