Blogger Adds Stats to Dashboard

Blogger has added stats to the dashboard and a stats tab for the blog along with the other tabs.  I knew they were working on this feature back in July when I posted about stats in Blogger draft mode.  To get into draft mode sign is as normal to draft.blogger.com instead of www.blogger.com.  This is where all the new features are tested and the kinks worked out before they are added to the main Blogger site.  It's definitely worth checking out draft mode from time to time just to see what Blogger is working on next.

The stats are rather interesting!  The stats consist of an overview graph that can be set to now, day, week, month or all time by clicking on the appropriate tab.  There is a refresh button as well.  Mousing over the graph will give the number of page views at that particular point.  Below the graph there are 3 sections - posts, traffic sources and audience.  The top 5 visited posts are shown with post title and number of page views with the option to view more details.  The top 3 traffic sources are shown and the audience is shown as a world map with countries highlighted if traffic is coming from them.  Clicking the map will take you to a more detailed breakdown of your audience that includes page views by countries, page views by browsers and page views by operating systems.  The option is there to view the data now, daily, weekly, monthly or all time.

Once again Blogger has added another useful blogging tool.  The stats are presented nicely and easy to navigate.  It's one more tool to help gauge a blog's performance.  What's really nice is you can do it right from the dashboard without having to sign into another stats tool.  Thanks Blogger!
