Adgitize Announces Point Changes

Adgitize has announced point changes by introducing points for posting in the forum.  The points break down to:

200 word post = 100 points
100 word post = 50 points
50 word post = 25 points
25 word post = 10 points
maximum 100 points daily

As a result of the extra point earnings possible through writing forum posts those not posting a daily forum post will see a decrease in earnings of 5 cents.  I'm not sure whether or not I like the changes.  On one hand the potential for earning more is there if you participate in the forums daily.  At the same time this encourages posts simply for the sake of earning money and penalizes those who for whatever reason choose not to participate in the forums.  Essentially, not participating in the forums will reduce your earnings by $1.50 per month.  That's a fair amount of money in this type of system.  According to the Adgitize blog those participating in the forums will see increases in income.  One example is a member earning 256 points would go to 306 point or 20 cents per day to 42 cents per day BUT the next example is a member earning 325 points per day would go to 400 points seeing an increase to 50 cents per day from 47 cents.  So this member is essentially still losing 2 cents per day.  So it appears that the more active member is still losing out.

I will be following the point changes at Adgitize over the next couple of months.  I currently run two ads on Adgitize at a total cost of $28 per month.  With active daily participation I earn back about $17 per month so my advertising ends up costing me $9 per month.  If I don't participate in the forums that cost will go up to $10.50 per month.  It may be that I may have to reduce my ads to one ad per month from the two depending on how forum participation affects earnings.
