Blogger introduced its automatic spam detection a few months ago. Essentially what this does is detect potential spam and put it into a spam folder in the comments section. From there you can decide if it is spam and delete. This is especially useful for those who do not have comment moderation turned on. At least suspected spam comments don't get automatically posted. This appears to have reduced the number of comment spammers which is something I didn't expect. Perhaps spammers are catching on that folks are getting tired of them. We can only hope...
